ABOUT
A Bit of Background
The New Jersey Congregational Center for Cancer Care is a program run through this non-profit organization, Churches Improving Communities (https://improvingnj.org). It is a holistic support and care center that helps individuals, congregations, and communities faithfully enter the cancer space.
OUR 4 THEMES
Contemplation, Collaboration, Cojourner/Care, and Communication.

CONTEMPLATION
Deeping the personal and communal spiritual life to be ready to face cancer.

COLLABORATION
Deepening our relationship with other existing organizations supporting cancer.

COJOURNER/CARE
Direct services for those with cancer and their supporters.

COMMUNICATION
Creating a way to be "outward" in our communication with the world.
HOW TO GET INVOVED
With the ministries and programs of NJC4

CONTEMPLATION
Book groups, retreats, creating cancer-specific prayers, interfaith discussions.

COLLABORATION
Annual Cancer walks, visits with state and federal legislatures to advocate for cancer research funding.

COJOURNER/CARE
One on one support for those diagnosed with cancer, caregivers, and care team. A Care Hotline, Prayer Ministry, Volunteer Support, and Referral System.

COMMUNICATION
NJC4 monthly newsletter, Monthly NJC4 ambassador meetings.
